NUDES IN WOOD

This print was not executed on the press above, borrowed from my friend, master printmaker Dan Welden. This is a table-top press, the bed measuring 12 1/4" x 24". It is his favourite 'oldie'.

Image size: 23" x 32"
Paper: Rice

The press that I used for this print was a Harold Wright press, now belonging to my printmaker friend Mary Westring. The bed size, 30" x 48", was still not wide enough to print this 23" x 32" print. It was accomplished by folding the rice paper lengthwise to print the one, a found block on the left, three times.

Several variations on this theme were made.
